Admission Requirements for General Nursing

The following are the requirements for admission into the General Nursing programme as contained in the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (MNCN) admission requirements guidelines:

  • Applicants MUST not be less than 16 years at the time of application.
  • MUST Possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSCE/NECO) or GCE O' Level or equivalent with at least 5 credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics at not more than two (2) sittings of the same examination body OR NABTEB at not more than one (1) sitting.
Admission Requirements for Remedial Sciences
  • Applicants MUST not be less than 16 years at the time of application.
  • Applicants MUST possess at least two (2) passes at credit level including English Language and Mathematics to qualify for admission.
Method of Application

Application form is available online on the College’s admission portal. Interested individuals are to do the following;

  • Log onto the portal at admissions.mcons.edu.ng. If you are a new applicant, create a brief profile by clicking on the “create profile” button and enter the required information.
  • The system will return you to your dashboard. If you are a returning applicant, please use the login page where you are expected to login using your email and the password you created in the step 1 above. Please note that the system will not allow duplication of data; if you have forgotten your login credentials, please use the "Forgot password" link.
  • On your dashboard, General Nursing applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable amount of Twenty Thousand Naira Only (N20,000.00) while Remedial Sciences applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable sum of Ten Thousand Naira Only (N10,000.00) using your debit card details or other payment options. Please note that we do not save your credit cards details and are not responsible for the security of your card details. Our payment gateway handles our transactions.
  • Follow instructions on Admission Procedure guidelines on our website (Application Guide) to complete and submit your application online.
  • Check your application dashboard regularly for further instructions.
Method of Selection
  • General Nursing applicants will be subjected to a Computer Based Test (CBT) which will be conducted at the College’s CBT Centre. Date and time will be communicated to you on your dashboard.
  • Only candidates who attain acceptable standard shall be invited for screening.

Please Note: There will be no Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations for Remedial applicants. Those who are qualified will be issued admission letter.
